Membership

Greetings,

Membership is open to any graduate, former student, or friend who subscribes to the objectives of the Charles H. Darden High School Alumni Association.

There are currently two (2) chapters: Washington-Metropolitan Area and Wilson. New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, and Tidewater (VA), have area representatives to help with getting out information. If you are near a chapter area, we encourage you to join a local chapter.

At-large members are National members only. However you may still volunteer to work with a Chapter or the National Office.

Members are required to pay an annual assessment fee as determined by the Executive Committee of the Corporation. The current fee is $50.00 per year.

The membership year begins May 1st and ends on April 30th of the next year.

“Honorary” status is given to individuals inducted into the Hall of Fame and do not meet the requirements for lifetime status.

“Lifetime” status is given to individuals who are, or will be 85 years old, on or before the Annual Alumni Weekend that membership is due and has been a member of the National Association for the past five consecutive years. This applies also if you have been inducted into the Hall of Fame as well.

Just a reminder, if you are an honorary or lifetime member of a local chapter, you are responsible for your local dues. Also dance, disco, silent auction and raffle tickets may be purchased on the registration form that you will receive with the Alumni Weekend Information Materials.
